Sometimes a run is a mundane method of getting your heart rate up for a
period of time, other times it is a bit of an adventure.
I parked at the trail head near the Costco. Instead of going on the trail
near the biotech companies and the marina, I went in the other direction to
the airport.
I saw sign for some sort of coastal trail.
About a mile in, nature called so I was looking for a facility.
Was on this oddball island that was overrun by cats when I saw this
building labeled safe harbor. Assumed it was a government facility so I
walked in.
Turned out it was a homeless shelter.
Asked for the facilities and was pointed to the barracks and was told not
to look around, obviously, I complied.
Back on my run saw the aviation wing of San Francisco City College.
Was stopped near the parking facility by a non-English speaking Italian who
needed directions to the International terminal.
Asking one of the shuttle drivers we determined that he needed to follow
the green bus so I pointed out the words in his dictionary (I do not run
with my phone)
While this was going on a patron of the homeless shelter comes by and yells
at the car as he was in the sidewalk and he had to move six inches. I then
told the homeless fellow that the person in the car did not speak English.
This was not the correct answer as he became irate.
Luckily the green bus pulled out and the Italian was on his way to the
airport.
