Anything but not everything

Someone said somewhere, you can have anything you want, but not everything.
Sort of like the nonsense with the cake and eating it.
I love expensive sandwiches and I love running, but combining that without
much regard for the the clock. I felt like Michael Scott in that episode of
the Office where he ate the pasta before running.
I was out of it from the time change, traveling, Austin etc... So instead of
running with the group I ran along the water.
No sandwiches within five hours of running. Sometimes the key to happiness
is the order in which you do things.

That takes me to St. Patricks day. For the most part I did not drink in
January and February (Maryland and my Brothers visit was an exception).
Going downtown I decided to partake in the craziness but not drink because
1) it is WAY Cheaper 2) I do not have to worry about the queues for the beer
and the loo. On the way to BART I saw people stumbling like the ground was
melting.
As far as it being cheaper, I spent $20, instead of closer to $100. $5 on
pizza, $5 on spring rolls, $5 cover to Irish bank and a $5 donation to Frank
Chu. I remember when I did the math of going out for drinks on a regular
basis.
Again I have no issue with drinking for the most part, but I am not going to
spend $10 on Bud Light, maybe a Chimay. They should do an economic study on
my choices.
Felt good this morning so I think I made a wise choice.
